Hi guys, I got a question about the S.E.X. 2.1 and speakers. I have a pair of Klipsch RB 61 II speakers and would like to use them with the S.E.X. 2.1. Sensitivity of the RB 61s is 95db and somewhere in the forum I read that the recommendation for speakers and the S.E.X is 98db or higher.

So, I was wondering, how well do the RB 61s work with the S.E.X?
Does anybody have any experience with the RB 61s and the S.E.X?

Any feedback/comment would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Thomas

Hook them up and give them a try!  I think you will be pleasantly surprised how loud 2 quality watts can sound!  Only you can answer the question "is it loud enough".  If you haven't tried yet because you are afraid it might hurt your amp, don't worry.

Not enough info to say. How big is the room? How loud do you listen? What types of music do you listen to? What is the source component?

From a rule of thumb standpoint you might be just on the shy side of being able to listen to super dynamic music, but for most music it should work pretty well. So if you like to rock out, maybe not so perfect. But if you mostly listen at more moderate levels, it will probably work quite well. Room size does also make a difference. If your room is on the smaller side and you sit fairly close you can usually get away with somewhat less power.

Thanks everyone, the room I'm using is on the smaller side, about 11x14x9. I'm mostly listening in mid-range, more on the low than high side. Classical music from a laptop.

I think it will work pretty nicely for that situation.
