We have had June as our ship date since we started taking orders. Unfortunately a couple of things stacked up against us to push that forward a couple of weeks and we are currently estimating that kits will begin shipping early to mid July. We really appreciate the number of pre-orders we have received and want to let you know that just as soon as the last few parts arrive from our manufacturers there will be a big Stereomour packing and shipping party at Chateau Bottlehead. As a thank you to those who are pre-ordering and patiently waiting, we will be including a prototype version of our upcoming power cord kit.

xmas in july--what could be better---howie

I'm thinking about ordering a couple of Stereomour kits. If I ordered today, is it too late to get in on the first run (and the prototype power cord)?
thanks
Bryon

Hi Bryon,
If you order today you will get the last two kits left of the first run. And yes, we would include the power cord kits. As of today we are pretty much just waiting for chassis plates and to shoot the final set of photos for the manual.
-
Great - thanks - I'm looking forward to another great Bottlehead kit [or two]

Thanks for your order, Bryon! For anyone else who is thinking about ordering, we will be following up the first run as closely as possible with a second run. So the sooner you order, the higher in the delivery queue your order will be.
-
Doc,
Any updates? think any may be going out this week?
Thanks,
Jim

Chassis plates are still the hangup. We had a problem with the original CAD file I sent that required a redo and that has created a bit more delay. But as soon as those plates show up we are going full bore until we get them shipped.
-
Thanks, Dan. Looking forward to it.

Yay! Progress is made! We got chassis plates in, finally. Now we can get the manual photos shot and the manual completed. We will be working on the manual early next week, and packing kits at the same time. So we should see the very first kits shipping soon.
I dunno about you guys, but I am more than ready to deliver the first kits.

Ok, I could be ready :-).
Great news! This and the fact that my wife said I can keep my Carina just made my day.

I kind of got bored so I ordered a Quickie pre-amp and ccs upgrade. Dang, pretty soon I'll be an official Bottlehead!!!

Thanks for the order! PJ, Shawn and I made great headway today, and I think Shawn and I will finish the assembly and photography of the production prototype for the manual over the next day or two. Eileen is already working out the details of shipping the first run, so we are getting really close!
-
Shawn and I will have the prototype assembly and photography finished this afternoon. So the last step is getting the manual done up. Should be ready some time next week.
-
I processed right around 100 photos for the Stereomour manual on Monday. Yesterday I got the first 30 pages of the manual written and illustrated, and I will be continuing that process today. So we are getting close!
-
OK, we are rolling on this one! I have a few pages left to produce for the manual - should be wrapped today. A long time Bottlehead who ordered right at the start picked up his two Stereomour kits sans manuals on Friday afternoon so he could bring them home with him from a visit to Seattle. More go in the boxes today -
-
If ordered today what kind of wait time are we looking at Doc??
-
We are waiting for a second production run of transformers to arrive, which will probably be another week or two. Half of that second run is already sold. So it is difficult for us to predict if the any of that run will still be available in a couple of weeks or not. We haven't yet ordered parts for a third run yet - it will take around three or four weeks to get them once we do.
-
OK, I am down to the last step on the manual, organizing the table of contents. The photos on this one came out quite good, I think it should be pretty easy to follow. The manuals will start ripping and we should be shipping first run kits tomorrow. Second run kits should not be too far behind the first run, maybe a week or two.
-
Ordered mine!!!! Now its time to wait........................
-
Hey, hey, hey, Checked my email after dinner and noticed the UPS quantum view notice!
Looks like I'll be getting a box o' fun on Friday.
Thanks to all the BH crew for getting these out!

Doc, you don't know how bad I want to order one of these - comes down to whether I should spend money on my "house projects" or yet another tube project.....
-
Several more kits shipped today, and we should begin to ship the second run as soon as the iron arrives.

Awesome news Doc, did my order make the second run???
-
Yes I think your order is in the second run. I will need to check with Eileen, but I think we may now have just a couple of kits left in that run.
-
Doc,
Congratulations on getting the Stereomour out...that is quite the accomplishment! And congrats on getting your new digs...moving is so much work but it will all be worth it over the long run.
Looking forward to the kit arriving and keeping busy by building my Quickie kit in red and black!

Just want to verify that we asked for an update from the winder and it was confirmed that we are indeed still two weeks out on the second production run of power transformers. By the time they arrive we should be shipping from the new office.

I think Eileen said that some more should be shipping next week. I'm kinda running around like a chicken with my head cut off this week, so it might be best to shoot her an email - queen at bottlehead dot com.

Got word that my newest toy has FINALLY been released by customs in Vancouver, hoping to have it early next week!!!!!
-
Customs seems to be a pretty large stumbling block for shipments into Canada. It is regretful. I have made several shipments there and it is a pretty big PITA sending, but not as aggravating as the wait.

It's funny about Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (CRA), sometimes they're quick, sometimes they're not. Generally speaking though, I find stuff that is shipped to me (in Ottawa) gets here much faster if sent via USPS. It's also a lot less expensive, since there are no outrageous brokerage fees attached to the items. It's the stuff that comes via UPS, Fedex, etc, that takes forever.
For me, the solution is to get items shipped to the UPS store in Ogdensburg, NY, pick it up myself and bring it through Customs at the border...

Agreed!!! USPS is way better and lass money then FEDEX or UPS, they both soak you with insane brokerage fees, think there is actually a couple of lawsuits in regards to this very thing, downright crimianl what they ( FEDEX and UPS) get away with!!!!!
