I received my Quickie kit a few days ago and have just checked the manual and all the parts. It seems i have two 220uf capacitors instead of the 2.2uf ones in the manual. Will this make a difference? The big problem that I can see is that the capacitors are the cylindrical type, whereas the kit ones look rectangular from the manual.

Any help is appreciated,

Guy

My guess is that you have 220uF 250V electrolytic capacitors used in a number of the Bottlehead kits.  If I am right there is a stripe identifying the negative connection on them.  They might be similar to the 1000uF 35V caps that should be in the kit.

The 2.2uF caps are for the output and shouldn't be electrolytic.  You can call Eileen Monday morning and she will send you a pair of the 2.2uF caps.
