Title: Resistors, What say you?

Carbon composite, metal film, metal foil, wire wound, kryptonite, etc. In the signal path what would you choose?

You know, in the builds Grainger and I did we always chose carbon film.  Now that I think about it I am not exactly sure why...

You choose what you need for the particular application.  "In the signal path" isn't specific enough.

"Resistance is fertile" (G20 March placard, London 2009) Perhaps it's the only way to make progress.
