I'm not sure what to say other then this is what you get when everything a child does they are told you did great. Everybody gets an award, there i no first place or second, and on and on. If someone told her this stinks to high heaven she wound not be able to handle it.
I'm going to try to forget that I saw this. I can't believe Doc would do this to us!

Equally Disturbing.

This has to be a social media experiment, we will find she is writing a thesis on viral internet videos and their reach or something like that. It just cannot be real...

I've seen worse at the Grammys.
Eh, I have to edit this. After watching the whole thing, this is going to haunt my nightmares.

I think this says a lot less about the perils of praising your kids than it does about the low bar for shooting and editing video and then inflicting it on everyone. The world would be a better place if the Internet was harder to use.

You know what, the more I listen the more it seems she practiced the off key notes. They are pretty consistent. It's pretty funny the second time thru. Not a bad way for a comedian to get some notice.

I made the mistake of listening through headphones - I think she is doing the harmonies as well.
I use the term 'harmony' in the losest sense of the word.

Agreed. The singing is so consistently off pitch it sounds contrived. Dare I suggest that no one is that bad a singer?
Or maybe another way to look at it is that the video tries so hard to look professional that you'd think using autotune on the vocals would automatically be part of the, um, "production."

She is doing her Masters at Oxford - Sociology.
Many debating whether it is an elaborate experiment as it starts to go viral (0.5m views so far) - there is even a piece in Newsweek.
I thought it would be quite easy to sing consistently out of tune by just putting the vocals over a re-reccorded backing track (she's in tune with herself) but found video of a live performance covering Taylor Swift at an open mic night. Same noise.

Unfortunately there's obviously a demographic for this. I made it through about a minute, then another 30 seconds with the sound muted.

Some of the YouTube comments are funny:
I have now officially heard a song in the key of Q-Flat Minor.
She is actually hitting all the notes...only of other songs. And at random
I attempted to run this through Antares Auto-Tune on Pro Tools and now my computer is on fire and my wife left me

Apparently Tiny Tim and Miss Vicky did reproduce?

Holy crap that's bad.... My karaoke sounds better than that. I don't look like that but I sure sound better ;)

That was painful

Kinda reminds me of "F Sharp" by Tim Minchin

Is this bad for my new stereomour?
