I just pulled my non-extended FPIII off the shelf and installed some 6CG7's (BTW, in my system I'm not hearing a dramatic difference from the RCA Clears I've had in there for years). I have some old PIO caps that are 2.0uf 200v and tried some Auricaps that I had in a box that are 3.0uf 200v. It sounds fine albeit a little bright (but that could be my speakers more than the preamp and Paramours)

Is this OK or should I use 250v caps that are spec'ed for the non extended FPIII?

I've been out of the Bottlehead world for a long time so the help is greatly appreciated.

200V is plenty for the FP-III.

I would even be comfortable running 150V caps on a stock FP-III.
