Title: RFI chokes on input ?
Post by: CrowDaddy on October 23, 2023, 07:57:52 PM
I’m wondering whether some ferrite bead chokes on the inputs would help my Eros2.  No, I don’t hear any obvious interference, but I notice that some phonostages ( such as Zanden) make a big deal out of RFI prevention.  Tom Christiansen puts chokes on the (line-level) inputs of his amps.  There’s enough exposed wire on the tonearm to pick up ample noise, which could in theory cause nonlinearities even if above the audible range.

It's possible, though unlikely. Depends on the RF environment nearby. The only way to know is to try it.
