Been using the Crack +Speedball quite happily for a couple (?) years. Today when I pushed in headphone jack there was a slight pop and lost sound in left ear. If I pull back partway sound is fine, but if I push all the way in, sound in left ear consistently disappears. resolder jack? other? Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you, that helps me understand what I am hearing, but not what the fix is - any suggestions? Thanks!

1) Check all solder joints

2) Take resistance measurements

3) Take voltage measurements

It NEVER works this well...
I re-soldered the two joints that connect to the left channel on the headphone jack receptacle, and SUCCESS! All is working well, and finding my soldering gear took longer than the repair. Thanks for the help.
