Hi,
Can I get some suggestion if I were to upgrade the capacitors, which one should I upgrade and any capacitor recommendation.
Thanks.

Here is my plan to upgrade the capacitors on the Kaiju. Can I please get a review and tell me if this will not work?
1. Replace "0.1 uF 630V metalized polypropylene" with "0.1uf 1000vdc Mundorf Supreme SilverGoldOil "
2. Replace "10uF 630V Metallized Polypropylene" with "10uf 800vdc Mcap Supreme EVO Oil Black"
3. Replace "100uF 250V (Blue) - axial electrolytic Capacitor" with "Mundorf 100uf 350vdc Mcap EVO Oil"
The voltage is not the same but I understand I can use a capacitor with a high voltage.
Also, i read in a thread where PB glued the Capacitor to secure it. What is the glue type called?
Thanks.

Those should all work fine. Permatex ultra black is usually what I use for this purpose.

So I am about to change the "100uF 250V (Blue) - axial electrolytic Capacitor" with "Mundorf 100uf 350vdc Mcap EVO Oil"
It seems the original capacitor is directional according to the step in the manual
==>"Attach the lead that the arrows point to of a 100μF 250V axial electrolytic capacitor to 33U."
The new capacitor does not seem to be directional.
Did i get the right capacitor? I will attach a picture shortly.
-
Correct, the new capacitor is not directional.
-
Thank you but sorry for the additional newbie question...but can i proceed with this replacement?
i.e. Can I replace a directional capacitor with a non-directional capacitor?
-
Yes, you just need to install it in place of the old one.
-
Thank you. I have changed all the stated caps except the 100f. Too big. I won’t use it on this amp.
Everything sounds great. I did not do any tuning. Do i need to retune anything? I notice the tubes are a bit brighter; not sure if i am imagining.
Sound wise; it is perfect.

Nope, there aren't any adjustments that need to be made when caps are swapped out.

Great. Thanks.
