I just recently purchased the Smash and the SEX kits. Would there be any reason why these two pieces wouldn't work well together? I'm aware that there is a new amp coming out to match the smash. My overall plan is to have an entire DIY system composed of many BH products. These two pieces are just the start.
Thanks in advance!

No problem.

You will likely have too much gain available, since most systems do. All too often we are recommending  some reduction in amplifier sensitivity to optimize a system. Fortunately, the fact that SEX already has a level control means you can easily balance the gains for best performance in your system.

That is good to know. Would the submissive be a good solution to the increased gain? Do you think there will be an upgrade to the smash like there is to the BeePre in the future? I understand that the dual volume control is an easy way to prevent overdriving and cost effective as well. I guess I'm looking for an excuse for upgrades already :)
Thanks for the info Paul

Yes, we do plan to integrate that level control into the Smash.
