I have a good share of DG lps. Some of them are awesome but they all have a "house sound". After doing some research I gound that DG and Telefunken used an eq different from riaa: Time Constants: 3180

Sure. The effect would be to raise the treble by about 3.5dB; you would just change the single 0.01uF cap to 0.0067uF. The tape version has a switch, so I know there's room.

An interesting alternative would be to follow the Eros with a Fix, doubling the 2700pF cap to 5400pF, and set it for maximum treble boost which is a bit less than 4dB - it will be very close.

This assumes that you actually hear the DGs sounding a bit dull or recessed. Not all the stuff on the web about what eq was used by whom is accurate (!) and I don't think anybody stayed with a single eq curve for their entire existence.

Maybe Doc B will post a picture of the killer custom Phono Pre with fully adjustable curves, which we made a few years ago. It's pretty, but costly. Fun to design but a bit of a bear to build!
