Title: 9 pin socket wiring
Post by: Wrekless on April 15, 2014, 06:53:59 AM
First time builder, and poster.
On p.45 of the manual it show connecting a wire from socket pin B9 to terminal 8L.  On page 59 the wire has moved to 10L.  Does it matter which terminal it goes through 8L is quite crowded at this point...
Thanks in advance, Eric Stevenson.

Do follow the written directions in the manual.  The photo on page 59 shows wiring that ended up making the amp more difficult to build, as well as potentially having that wire by a warm resistor.

I also saw the difference in the manual and ended up moving the wire to 10L since as you said 8L is crowded. Electrically it should be the same since 6, 8 and 10 are connected with the stripped S-wire. It works fine in my amplifier.

Thanks for the replies, I left it at 8.
Finished assembly last night, testing today.
