Title: Sergio Mendes Brasileiro
Post by: Doc B. on June 05, 2015, 06:41:18 AM
Don't know how I missed this Grammy winning world music album from 1993. Paul Stubblebine hipped me to it. It's pretty amazing, one those exceptionally rare albums that is great music and a great audiophile demo at the same time. Those of you with a really dynamic system should prepare to have your mind blown by the fabulous Latin percussion.

I have been a fan of Sergio Mendes for over forty years. I have almost every LP he ever made and have seen him in concert seven times. Last concert was a couple of years ago and it was fantastic as all of them were. I use some of his songs when I demo my Bottlehead equipment at meets and shows.

That is a beautifully mixed album, lots of range and detail.  Add in a bit of death metal and you have the Roots album by Sepultura ;D
