Title: Gotta Go Godzilla
Post by: Thermioniclife on January 14, 2024, 11:25:46 AM
Saw these guys the year later at Nassau collisiem on Long Island in 1978. The loudest concert i've ever attended. There was an extended drum solo where the drummer wore
a huge Godzilla head. They had a laser light show which i'm sure was to powerfull.
Still love this song today. I saw them many years later in a small dinner theater inHuntingtonLI NY and Ray Manzerek played keybordsh Bud and heineken were 2$ each.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BuBHYMWrN4

B.O.C. was the first concert I went to, it was the Secret Treaties tour and I was in the eighth grade. (My parents let me go with a couple of older guys that were in my Boy Scout troop...) It was the early 70's (late '73 or early'74) so about the only thing I remember, besides sneaking down to the floor from our nose-bleed seats after the opening act, was all the band members donning guitars for 'Buck's Boogie'. Good times...

Hey Karl, I'm pretty sure BOC was my first or second concert. 1978 which I would have been 15 or 16. Good times indeed.

Saw BOC and Aldo Nova together in Montana in 1982. There was a large foam Godzilla behind the drummer and I lost count of how many drum sticks he threw into it during the song .....
