I took my Foreplay out of service some years ago because the volume controls had started to breakdown - bought the Quickie as a temporary stand-in whilst I was going to replace the two pots with a stereo one, but so enjoyed the Quickie I never bothered. However, now I'd like to put the Foreplay back into service so what would be the spec of pot I'd need as a replacement - I'll probable go for an APLS.

dual gang, 100K ohms, audio taper.
Oops. I was thinking single and typed dual.

Here is some nice info from Paul, Caucasian Blackplate, in a very recent thread in the Foreplay III forum:

Thanks both for your prompt responses - feel a bit dumb that I didn't realise there were specific child boards... :)

I put the Alps 10k stereo pot in and have been very pleased. I might eventually try something else just for giggles to see if I can hear a difference. I did not notice any decline in sound quality when I put the Alps pot in but my ears are 62 years old and have been subjected to playing in a rock band and working in a power plant.

An added note, Parts Express now carries the Alps pots and their shipping is very prompt.
