Title: Broken HLMP-6000 LED
Post by: micheld on January 18, 2024, 04:06:38 AM
Morning
One of the HLMP-6000 LED is broken
What are my options?
- replace with a solid wire
- replace with a diode
- try to source a new HLMP-6000 LED

Thanks

Broken as it arrived in the kit broken in two?  If so, contact Bottlehead and they'll send you a replacement.

Broken meaning it broke into two when you attempted to solder it into the circuit?  If so, you'll need a replacement.  (Do not use a piece of wire or another diode.)  You can order replacements here:  https://bottlehead.com/product/hlmp-6000-leds-prod/ (https://bottlehead.com/product/hlmp-6000-leds-prod/)

It is possible to temporarily install a wire between A3 and A8 to get your kit up and running, but you should put the second diode back in when you can.  Doing this workaround will reduce the available information if you run into problems as well.
