Title: No Smoke, But Smoking Music
Post by: ptlud on January 31, 2015, 08:12:32 AM
Just finished building the Stereomour for 45 tubes.  No smoke and all voltages measured good.

Using a pair of Radiotron UX-245 globe tubes and my Klipsch KLF-20 speakers (100 dB/W/m).  Only need to run at half volume to fill the room with smooth, lush, and 3D sound.  While in the build process, I upgraded the parafeed caps to 4.7 uF Mundorf Supreme's, replaced the pot with an Alps Velvet, and the coupling caps with Sonicraft's.

Just have to thank the Bottlehead folks for a great kit.  The manual was well written and easy to follow.  Brought me back to my youth building Heathkits.

Looking forward to many years of beautiful music.
