I don't have any manuals handy, so I'm asking here. When you use an led to bias a tube which end (cathode or anode) gets connected to the tube's cathode? Or put another way what gets connected to Ground? Thanks

Im assuming, like a diode, that the cathode is the silver striped end of the HLMP6000's Bottlehead uses.   Assuming that, the striped cathode side is connected to ground.

I'm agreeing with Desmond.  The banded end, in the case of an HLMP-6000 the silver end, goes to ground.
