Title: What is a true upgrade from crack otl?

I really like the sound of crack otl. It has this rich, full, vivid quality. I heard many other amps including expensive 300b tube head amps but they lose the musicality and fun vividness of crack otl (mine is modded with muse ES caps and bradley allen resistors, no speedball [on purpose]) Known as 'ho lee mod'.

What is a TRUE upgrade to crack OTL ?

I find speed ball takes away some of the tonal magic of the base crack.

I would say the C2A! But sadly it is discontinued.. Maybe try asking the Doc nicely :)
