I just completed my FPIII Extended upgrade and all voltages and resistances are within tolerance, however I noticied that the voltage at terminal 12 starts out around 180V and only reduces to 150V after a few minutes of turning the FPIII on.

I have not hooked up the FPIII yet to see if plays, as my amp is at the amp doctor right now getting a check up.

Is the terminal 12 voltage of 180V at startup indicative of anything?

Thanks.

No problem. The hybrid shunt regulator does not kick in until the tube warms up; until then the voltage is high.
