I just finished upgrading my Kaiju with the DC filament supply and it sounds awesome. However after a few minutes of playing, maybe 5 or 10, the left channel stops working. So I tried turning it on and off and evrytime I do so the channel works again. Has anyone had the same issue?

Thanks

You'll want to get a voltage check in when that channel has dropped.

Are you waiting after you turn it off, as in long enough for something to cool down? Or do you just switch off/switch on and it comes back? The latter would be more likely to be a bad solder joint. The former might be a not-optimal heat sink mounting.

Yes it is actually the latter. A quick turn off and on will bring the channel back alive.

However, I let it rest through the night and have listened to it for three hours today and everything seems to be ok.

I will keep you posted.

Thanks

OK, if it happens again I would first swap tubes from side to side and see if it follows one. If it stays in the same channel after the tube swap I would next look for a cold solder joint that might be expanding and losing contact when things get warmed up.
