I built and hooked up my PJCCS over the weekend and I also replaced the input caps with Sonicaps. Everything sounds fuller and the bass is finally showing its face. The gain may be too high as 9 o'clock is pretty loud. I hope as the caps setttle in the sound will become a little more refined. So far soooo good.

I'm using sonicaps too and yeah they take a little time to settle down.  I really love my Quickie because it's dead quiet in the noise dept.  It's even better than my old modded Foreplay II.  I look forward to adding some better volume controls although the stock ones aren't too bad.

The world was made for those not cursed with self-awareness.

Does the ALPS lower the gain as well? I think I may be overdriving the tubes making the sound less clear?
