Title: Posting pictures.
Post by: butchbass on July 26, 2017, 05:52:42 AM
I am having trouble posting pictures on this forum. I have tried every way that seems reasonable including searching how to post pictures. Any help is appreciated.

When you edit/create a post, there is orange text below the box that you type your text in that says "Attachments and other options"

Click on that text and a new section appears

One portion of that section says "Attach:", click the "Browse..." button in that section and a dialog will open to find a file. Locate the file you want to attach in your device's file system. It needs to be in GIF, JPG, or PNG format. Add the file with that dialog. If you have multiple files, you can add them with the "(more attachments)" function. Once complete, click the post button as you would any other posting.

Josh,
that is what I have been doing and I tried it again. Once I hit post, the computer pauses for a few seconds then a blank white screen pops up. Any thoughts?

What is the file type?

How was it made?

How large is it?

What device are you using?

What browser?

Max width of pictures has been set to 1024 pixels, so we don't have images posted that one has to scroll left and right to see all of. If your images are really huge that might be the issue.

I used an iPhone to take the pictures and it is a jpg file.  The size is 3024 x 4032 so that must be the problem. I will have to figure out how to reduce the size, I just started using the iPhone recently.

There are easy to use apps. Just search for image resizer in the app store. And for future pics you can preset the image size before taking the shot.

Downloaded an image resizer and was able to post the pictures, although the post showed up twice.
Thanks for the help.
