Title: Using the Audient iD14 pre-amp with Crack - Good/Bad/Impossible?
Post by: mtheshark90 on August 21, 2017, 09:49:02 AM
Currently I use a modi 2U DAC with my crack, and this yields amazing results. However, I want to start doing some recording, so I picked up an Audient iD14 interface which has a DAC and pre-amp built-in. My issue is: I'm not sure if a device like this can be connected to the crack safely. The outputs on the iD14 are 1/4" TRS jacks. It's easy enough to find a 1/4" to RCA cable, but I couldn't find any information on whether or not the crack is suited for TRS cable use.

The iD14 can be seen here:

Anyone able to weigh-in on this? Thanks!

Unless it has some very peculiar non-standard way that it works it should be fine.

Thanks Doc! I was hoping you'd be the one to chime in! I'll give it a shot and let everyone know how it goes.
