Title: Crack Voltage Normal Limits
Post by: L0rdGwyn on January 15, 2018, 11:22:00 AM
Hi there!

I'm a new builder, finished by Crack + SB about three weeks ago and really enjoying it so far.  I have a question about high voltages, specifically at terminals 2 and 4.  All other voltages and resistances on both the Crack and SB boards are WNL.  Here is what I am seeing:

1. 79
2. 193
3. 0
4. 193
5. 79
6. 0
7. 95
8. 0
9. 95
10. 0

I saw the higher voltages upon completing the stock Crack, but they were within the +/- 10%, and based on other posts I had read, weren't going to be an issue.  I decided to remeasure and verify with the community here just to be sure everything was A-okay.  Any cause for concern?  I have noticed no issues performance-wise.  I also replaced the stock volume pot with a 100K Audio-Note, although these voltages were present with the stock pot.

Thanks for your help!  I appreciate it.

If the Speedball is installed, you should use the voltage checks in the Speedball manual.

Ah yes, that would make sense wouldn't it, d'oh!  Here are my voltages:

Small board:
OA: 77
IA: 183
B-A/B: 0
IB: 183
OB: 72

Large board:
OA: 88
OB: 92
G: 0
B+: 185

Everything appears to be in order, thank you for pointing me in the right direction, sorry if I wasted your time!
