Title: Partial Speedball Upgrade: Voltage Good, 1 led not lighting up
Post by: CrackNoob on January 18, 2018, 04:16:51 PM
Hello Guys,

I just finished first part of the speedball upgrade, all the voltages were in the correct range per instruction manual. One LED, the upper right side, D1 I believe, it's not lighting up. I went ahead and listen to my Crack W/ Partial upgrade, and it seems to be working fine. Am I in the clear?

Can you post your voltages?

I would look for a solder joint on the bottom side of the board that's touching a neighboring joint by mistake.

I found out what was wrong, I had one of the PN2907A facing the wrong way. Now, the hard part, trying to get it out...... I been using my crack, do you think it's safe for the time being?

I wouldn't use the Crack with the transistor in backwards.

Thanks, I got it fixed. I installed the second portion of the Speedball, and Voltages are the following:

OA 109
OB 109
G 0
B+ 185

Those are normal voltages for the larger board.
