Hi,
I'm looking at buying a house with some power lines behind it, and was wondering if there might be an issue with the Quickie picking up noise from that? Anybody have experience with power lines transmitting noise thru tubes? Attached is a picture of the line (house is on the left).

Even though those are high voltage lines, I seriously doubt they will affect the tubes in the Quickie. The hum field for these lines is dissipated enough at the distance from the field to your house.

Hey Greg! Haven't seen you on here in a while, saw your Quickie thread though, how's that coming along? This must be Quikie #3 at least? :)
I found out a little more info about that power line, it's 230kv if that makes a difference. The lines are a little ways back from the house, they're make 20-30ft behind the property line. Found out we can have someone from the power company come with a meter and measure the radiation levels, so that should be pretty cool. They also want to show us what the lines emit in terms of electromagnetc radiation vs. the TV, and regular romex in the house. Should be very interesting. I'm guessing the takeaway from this will be that it isn't a big deal. Good to have some peace of mind for sure.
