Title: Hey Doc, just a quick question
Post by: rockpassion on March 27, 2018, 06:25:17 PM
Doc,

I am in the process of culling my LP collection (4000 at this point in time) as I am running out of room.  I would like to know if I can offer my duplicates as a list on the forum.  I am not looking to sell these LP's,  I would, however, charge only packaging and shipping charges to whom ever might want them.  Mostly, this would be classic rock.  The only LP's I would offer would be either a grade of Near Mint to  Excellent/Very Good and the covers would be Excellent to Good.

I figure for those getting back into Vinyl this might be an opportunity to do it rather inexpensively and I am not looking to make any money on these.  I would rather give back to the Bottlehead Community, my payback for all the help I have gotten here.

Have you heard of Discogs https://www.discogs.com/sell/ (https://www.discogs.com/sell/)?  Not saying I don't want some your LPs and wouldn't take you up on such a kind gesture.

If you are giving away a few, sure, post away. But if you are trying to move a lot I'll suggest that you simply post that you have LPs you are giving away and ask people to PM you, at which point you can send them the list. I suspect you will find it easier to keep track of things that way.

Hey Doc,

I like your idea.   I am still probably a month away from having a list, when I get it ready I will post (thank you by the way) that I have a list and for people to email me for the list.

Thanks

Richard

That is a generous offer.  I am buying a turntable next month, and have a few records right now (mostly classic rock actually).  Looking forward to the list!
