Title: Minor manual error? Lock washer on screw on bell?

When attaching the power transformer on page 18, the step says to "Insert a #8 x 2" screw through each hole.". The picture shows what appears to be a #8 round lock washer between the screw and the bell. Also, that is how it's assembled on the Crack.

Does there need to be a lock washer between the screw and the bell?

There are no lockwashers in that position on the Mainline.  It's technically more correct to have them there than not, which is why they appear the way they do in the Crack 1.1, but if the hardware is nice and tight the screw will bite into the transformer cover.

Ok, thanks. I threw some lock washers I had on them anyways. I’m confident the bell won’t pop off now :-)
