Title: Input from 120VAC/60Hz to 230VAC/50Hz
Post by: bombay317 on May 29, 2018, 07:46:34 AM
I was looking in the manual, but I did not see explicit instructions to change the BeePre from 120VAC/60Hz to 230VAC/50Hz.  Are there instructions to do this?  I searched the forums and didnt exactly see it.

This requires a different set of power transformers.  (The BeePre comes in 120V and 240V versions)

Is that kit available for purchase?

Sure, it's the first checkbox on the ordering page:

What I mean to say is this:

I have already purchased and built the system in the 120V version.  Is there a modification kit that I can purchase to convert the current kit from the 120V version to the 240V version, but not buy a second BeePre?

No. For these instances, we recommend using the appropriate step up/step down transformer.

I would add to what Josh said that a step-down transformer is also vastly less expensive and considerably less work.
