The glow of the 2A3 tubes in my Stereomour can only be seen when it is very dark. They both have a wonderful blue-ish glow. But, one tube has a small amount of glow while the other glows quite a bit. I swapped the tubes left for right, but the glow intensitey stayed with the respective tubes, so it isn't the amp. Is this normal?

This is normal unit to unit variation. I'm using NOS RCA and they are both blue and different from one another.
I just wish I could see it in the daylight.

Thanks Grainger. I'll stop worrying about it.
A set of RCA Blackplates seem to go for $400 these days. That is quite spendy. Do you think they are worth that much?
-
That is too rich for me. I just have some old RCAs, not the $400 Blackplates. I like what I have and the 2A3Cs that I bought about a year ago too.

I have one tube that glows brighter than the other. I have about 30 hours on my amp and new Hammer Dynamics 12's.... Oh my!! It is sounder better day after day...
Both channels sound great regardless of dim glow in the one tube.
