Title: Tube amp connections
Post by: C LaFong on December 20, 2018, 05:44:36 AM
I’m looking for a new integrated tube amp. What I’m finding is that most don’t have a way to connect my headphone amp. I’m using the tape out on my SS receiver right now. My budget may be limiting me but some of the more expensive units like PrimaLuna don’t have a line out. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe I’m looking at the wrong amps.

On the Stereomour, the speaker level outputs when set at 8 ohms is about 5.3V with the black posts grounded.  You could make a banana plug to RCA cable to use the speaker output as a line output, but you'll want to have the DC filament upgrade installed if you're going to do this.  There are a reasonable number of headphones that could be driven from the Stereomour bindings posts as well with resistive pad installed in each channel.
