Title: How hot does the Crack get?
Post by: kill_surf_city on February 17, 2019, 03:26:08 PM
I'm asking because I'm sealing the chassis I painted with semi-gloss Polycrylic. Does the Crack get hot enough to melt/damage this?

I don't think you'll have any problems, provided you use the rubber feet of course.

Through experimentation I have found that Polycrylic begins to bubble at 215* F.

The chassis won't get that hot. The only thing that might go up to 200F is the glass envelope of the 6080.
