Title: Random shut off
Post by: mishak on April 14, 2019, 12:48:00 PM

So I just finished building my crack amplifier.  All the resistance checks and voltages checked out.  I got it fired up and it was working great, for about 20 minutes.  Then out of no where, the amplifier shut off and I haven't been able to get it to turn back on.  Everything seems ok when I look under the hood.  I am very new to this, and this was my first DIY project.  Any help on where even to start would be appreciated!  Thanks.

Mark

Did you check the fuse?

Yes, check the fuse and if it is OK then go back and take new resistance measurements. One possible scenario is that a solder joint was missed and lost contact as the amp warmed up. That might show up as a bad resistance reading somewhere. Let us know your result.
