Hey everyone,
I'm finally starting on my build and wouldn't you know it, I ran into an issue on my VERY FIRST test. While checking the input voltage before setting up the transformer, I'm getting 10.6 mV. This is supposed to be in the 120V region so I'm not sure what's going on. So far the only thing I've done is solder the ground to L16 and ranformer 8, as well as the first power switch bit.
Any tips?
(FWIW, I've build a Project 1217 kit before and everything worked on the first try. I've also built several headphone cables. I'm fairly certain I didn't melt the power switch but I'm not sure that will matter given I'm testing between the IEC terminals.)

Maybe check the fuse?

Thanks for the suggestion. I pulled the fuse and it looks fine. Tested it and I'm getting continuity.

Okay, I'm an idiot. Had my DMM set to V DC instead of V AC. 122.1 V seems much more like it.

Hopefully my next post will be much less bonheaded!

Okay new problem: I broke off one of the leads of the HLMP 6000 LED trying to wrangle that tiny thing in that tight space. How/where do I go about getting a replacement? Is there some other LED that might do the trick that I may have lying around from a prev build?

Many thanks. Guess I'll be finishing the build next weekend. :(
