Title: Channel contamination
Post by: Jimmye00 on August 02, 2019, 12:25:48 AM
Hello all,
I just finished the first part of my build last night (havent installed the speedball). I wanted to give it a listen before i continued.  However, i started off by inputing a left/right audio test to make sure it sound correct.  When i did this i can hear a small amount of right channel coming through the left channel and small amount of left coming through the right channel.  I would say the contamination is about 10% of the volume that is supposed to be in that ear.  Is this normal with tubes? or is there something is i should be looking for?  all resistances and voltages were spot on

Thanks for the help

This is not at all normal and to me would suggest a grounding issue, likely around the headphone jack or maybe a loose connection at the RCA jacks where the black wire connects.
