I have a SEX 3.0 kit arriving next week, and originally I was planning on using it just for headphones. But I was wondering if anyone knows if the Kef LS50s can be used for nearfield with SEX? The sensitivity for the LS50s is 85db/watt @ 8 ohms, which is a bit louder than I usually listen to it at ~.9 meters away since they're my computer speakers.
So SEX and LS50, good or bad idea?

Just try it.

I haven't listened to the LS50s, but I did have the Overnight Sensations which have a sensitivity of 83 dB and they worked well, especially for near field.

Thanks for the replies! I didn't know if there would be some risk of blowing out either my speakers or amp. Any risk other than crappy sound, assuming I build my kit properly?
Guess I'll be building using the 8 ohm configuration.

No concerns so long as the speakers are passive and not active. Even then it's more of a shitty sound/clipping concern than an "you'll burn your shit up" concern

Thanks!
