Title: AKG 712 pro headphones.
Post by: stevenshelton on May 11, 2020, 12:09:28 PM
I just purchased an AKG 712 pro headphone then rushed back to this site to purchase a Crack 1.1 headphone kit.  Now, looking at the numbers it seems to me that the Crack 1.1 and my new AKG's are incompatible.  As you can probably surmise I am an aspiring audio kit builder with very little experience.  AKG K712 pros have a rated impedance of 62 Ohms. A sensitivity of 105 db SPL/V and a maximum input power of 200 mW.  Is the AKG 712 compatible with the Crack 1.1?

It's not a great match. The Crack kit is really intended for headphones of 250 ohms or higher impedance. The S.E.X. kit or Mainline kit would be a more suitable match.
