My self-adjusting wire strippers are ruining every single on of the smaller solid-core wires in my S.E.X kit. Do you guys have a recommended wire stripper that won't just yank the sheathing off the wire, or tear instead of cutting? Coming to my wits end as I am running out of usable wire to construct this kit.

Doc has recommended the Ideal Stripmaster. I use it and love it

Looking at one now, 16-26 AWG option would be what I want, correct?
Thanks!

That is the most fool proof wire stripper to use.

Greenlee 1917-SS are my preferred wire stripper.

I ineptly used cheapo radio shack strippers for years, often resorting to teeth (really effective for the teflon on my favorite CAT5). Always too cheap to buy the Ideal that Doc recommends. (I must admit that I never even went for the well-manufactured conventional stripper like the Greenlee either.)
Cleaning out my uncle's basement I found what looks like a chinese-made copy - what a revelation! So much easier and better! If these stop working I will definitely go for the Ideal! So worth it! Good tools are a great investment - so satisfying.

This seems to come up a lot. Here is a list of recommended strippers-

Thanks Doc, finally someone with a useful suggestion.
Lol but in reality thank you all, I feel set in placing my order than continuing on my amp!
