Title: Using Grados / low impedance cans with the Crack
Post by: mosquitorojo on July 15, 2020, 02:27:34 PM
Hi all,

I'm new here, and I've just built my first kit, the crack + speedball. So I read that according to the crack FAQ, if you go to 220uF caps, replace the 2.49K resistors on the headphone jack with 1k resistors, you could make Grados or low impedance headphones sound good. Anybody have tried this?

Thanks!

I would read FAQ #6.  You can replace the 100uF caps with 220uF caps, but that won't make the amp work well with Grado headphones; it will not sound good with either set of caps.
