Hi all,
I'm rebuilding my Foreplay III on a copper chassis plate (just shipping from Front Panel Express today!). I've been buying upgraded parts in anticipation and was wondering about the terminal strips. Is there anything that might be better than the strips that come with the kits

I have seen Teflon terminal strips but can't remember where. They are out there somewhere.

http://www.partsconnexion.com/ has a variety, including the IAG we've used in the Tape Repro.

Thanks Paul and Grainger49.
I just found these at Partsconnexion that look like they might substitute easily into the Foreplay III:

We think about sockets, wire and connectors of various sorts, is there a reason one wouldn't consider better terminal strips? Other than cost?
Thanks,
Peter

williston --i used the yamamoto terminal strips in my stereomour--i am not sure if a terminal strip really makes a difference as it is point to point wiring--they are nice looking and very well made-i think they are improvement a least mechanically and lookwise over the stock ones--

Another possibility is to use the standardized terminals from Keystone that you can buy from Mouser.
see 534-1502-1 (solid) and 534-1540-2 (hollow).
Essentially you build your own terminal strip which allows you to place the turrets where you want them. I usually cut off a strip of polycarbonate the size I need, drill the holes where I want them and then put in the turrets with the staking tool (and a hammer).
The turrets are not that expensive, but you do need to buy the staking tools 534-tl-2 or 534-tl-5

Turrets are a great idea! Here are some turret boards in various colors from www.tubesandmore.com (I just happened to notice these while looking for something completely different on their site). You could really dress up the inside of an amp with those!

Hey thanks for the replies guys. I'll check those out. Those Yamamotos look cool but are expensive, especially in the foreplay with 7 or 8 needed.
