Title: Are these voltages OK on speedballed crack
Post by: Happy Ghost on February 04, 2021, 05:04:17 PM
Hi,

Can you please let me know if the following voltages are OK on a speedballed crack (No issues with LED's lighting).

Large Board:
  OA: 110V
  OB: 112.7V
  G:   0V
  B+: 182 V

Small Board:
  OA: 82V
  OB:  78.6V

Am attaching a pic if it helps. OA/OB on the big board are high, right?

Thanks,
Atul

Yes, those are OK.  You have a 6080 with very strong emission and a 12AU7 that's possibly not quite awake.  If the amp hasn't been run much with that tube set, give it 50-100 hours of run time and then recheck the voltages.

Is it OK to leave the amp running with the headphones plugged in but no music input? Will it damage the amp in any way?

Yes, you can do that.
