Title: Tube rolling?

On the Eros 2, what does each tube type contribute sonically and which of those changes the sound the most and which one, if any, can increase the dynamic impact if the music?

The 12AU7 is certainly the least important operator in there.  I'd suggest gathering a few used tubes here and there to see what you end up liking.  Some experimentation is certainly required.

Read back through the Eros threads, especially the early posts around 2010, lots of tube rolling there.  I found a couple of combos that make me happy and have stuck with them based on my taste.  I've not found any new production tubes that sound good but there is plenty of vintage.
