Title: BeePre2 Match with VTA-M125 monoblocks
Post by: IntarsiaGuy2 on June 13, 2021, 12:37:14 PM
I am interested in building a BeePre2 to pair with VTA M-125 monoblocks, and want to confirm the numbers make sense.

The monoblocks list their input impendance at 270K ohms.  So wanting at least a 20-1 ratio, the BeePre2 output impedance of 3K should be fine.
The M-125 input sensitivity is listed as 1 volt in for 125 watts out which I understand to be fairly typical.

Anything else I need to consider as to whether this pairing makes sense?

One other dimension to look at is how sensitive your speakers are and how much gain your amplifiers have.  If your speaker sensitivity+amp gain is more than 110dB, you may need to add this tweak: https://forum.bottlehead.com/index.php?topic=13332.0 (https://forum.bottlehead.com/index.php?topic=13332.0)
