Hi Everyone
Just started the first part of the wiring and the first check, (the AC power line Voltage) and the reading from the multi meter is 258 volts !
Is this ok ? Bit worried, as it says in the manual that i should next wire the power transformer a certain way if the reading is greater than 235V
and less than 245V. UK Voltage.
Thanks Guys

Wow, 258 is quite high. I would definitely suggest contacting your power utility and letting them know and request a service appointment to get that addressed.
You can wire the amp for 240V mains and things will be a bit high, but the amp will still work. If your power company isn't able to knock down your incoming voltage, let us know and I may be able to provide some other strategies for knocking things down a bit.

HI Paul
It is a bit strange as when i did the Moreplay build just a few months ago the reading was 234V.
Thanks for the info buddy !

How fresh is the battery in your meter?
-
Not sure, why do you ask Paul ?
-
I've spent more time than I'd like to admit chasing strange problems that ended up being dead meter batteries giving me bad information.
-
Well now that's interesting, I'll check tomorrow and let you know Paul.

Morning Paul
You were SPOT ON with your call about the battery being low, I recharged it and now the AC is reading 229V 😁
Thank you once again for your help and sharing your knowledge !!!
