Man... Would love to be there especially with Dan and Steve's rigs in one place.  Will be thinking of you guys from Japan!

Right now my cash position is zero, nada, nothing but Steve's going made me block the date and try to see if I can get some tickets with airline miles. I would bring my R10s and Nickel MQ Sex that are going to be hard to beat if the BH source can feed yet another amp.

Hey Steve, you're more than welcome! You too, Xavier! We have space for inflatable beds now that the business is out of the house and you guys would be welcome to crash.

That sounds like a plan.
I think I'll have to take you up on your kind offer Dan.

Get to work on those ff miles Xavier! I haven't seen you since VSAC and that's way too long!

I hate it that I live in Ohio now and not Vancouver :( I would love to make it for one of these...

Some complications have arosen. Still I'd say 50/50.

In any case I'm doing my homework. I'll try to bring a super dooper cassette setup (high end Nakamichi with heads rewired to a Seduction) with a hot rodded Sex driving the Sony MDR-R10s.

And also a smaller cassette setup (walkman pro) driving a Quickie with TL-404s and HD-800s.

If the cassette thing doesn't work as expected I'll only take the Sex/Sonys and connect them to Doc's rig. That would sound better but I'd like to be independent the weekend I'm taking off the family as well as to try something innovative.

Of course the cassettes will be recorded from the best sources: TP tapes.

Title: So, how did it go?

In particular I'd love any opinions related to Mike Lavigne's Playback Designs SACD player / DAC. I've read lots about that but I'd really love to hear Doc's, Paul's or Steve's impressions.

Thanks!

I didn't get to hear the player, but I'm pretty sure Steve did. Here's a link to the meet impressions, with some photos:
