Title: Bottlehead Crack - no speedball blowing fuses after sitting for six months
Post by: wonkoElsane on September 23, 2022, 05:21:03 PM
I didn't have a set of high impedance headphones for a while, and let my BHC gather dust (and rust on the power transformer cover... whoops_ )    now when I plug it in, the fuse goes.

I flipped the cover plate and took quick measurements as per the last section of the assemble manual, and came up with the right values.  Any idea what might have gone bad?  Crappy solder joint letting go?

For a fuse to blow, it's most likely that two metal leads in the Crack are touching that shouldn't.  Maybe you could post some build photos?
