Title: Proper method for attaching 2.49K resistors?
Post by: MilderER on October 18, 2022, 05:05:08 PM
Hi! What is the preferred method for attaching the 2.49K resistors to the lugs of the headphone jack? Do you eyeball the necessary lead-length and trim the leads before threading, wrapping, and crimping? Or do you bend and wrestle the leads into place as was necessary when attaching the 270K resistor to 12L/13L? (I'm guessing it's the former, but I'm a greenhorn at all this.)

Wrap the leads around the lugs on the headphone jack and solder them, then trim the excess.

Thanks, Paul. I took your advice, and it turned out not to be so difficult after all. Really appreciate the help.
