Title: Mistake soldering RCA Jack [resolved]
Post by: Dhouse7516 on November 17, 2022, 03:58:39 PM
Hi all, I’m a new member in the middle of my first build. It has been going very well until tonight. After soldering the leads into the RCA jacks, I noticed that the center pin on the right RCA jack is moving up and down slightly. Pretty sure I applied too much heat and likely melted the plastic surrounding the pin. Is there a fix for this or do I just go ahead and replace the jack? Thanks much!

I suspect you could just use the jack as it is.  If you have a dead channel, of course that would be the first place to look!

Thanks much, Paul. I will keep going and see where I end up.
