Title: Moreplay Newbie Low Voltage @ IEC
Post by: tyasin02 on November 18, 2022, 08:23:20 AM
I am getting weird voltage.

. PLugs I get 117 directly in the cord Live wire
1.IEC back-end terminal .7 volt (nothing wired) (Was expecting at least 117V) /Checked fused all in good
2. All wired at the PT 12 I get .7 volts

I am stumped. I have removed all wiring (Grrr ) and traced everything back. Nothing.

Please help.

Thanks

Is the fuse mounted to the clip or in the square tunnel?

I would recommend more carefully following the wire routing that we provide in the manual, as well as the specific instructions we provide. The red wires going to your power transformer are not consistent with the instructions in the manual.  The red wire going to the power switch is also not properly routed, and where you have it may have caused your fuse to blow and initiated these problems in the first place.

This early in the build is definitely a good time to slow way, way down and commit to attempting to follow the manual as closely as possible.

No, you have not.  I have pointed out two errors, one of which could blow your fuse.

Leave the black probe where it is then use the red probe to touch the bar on the other side of the IEC power entry module to see if you get 120V under those conditions.

Your fuse is blown or not properly installed.

If your fuse blew, it's likely from that burnt spot on the misrouted red wire touching the terminal it was shoved up against.
